These are some frequently asked questions about the site. Feel free to contact me about anything at all. Q: What is the history of heresmary.com? A:The site was called "Emby" up until December 2006. I decided to call it Emby because my two main initials are "MB" and when you say that out loud you are saying "Emby", so I went with that. December I purchased a domain name and hosting and rebranded the site as heresmary.com. It took me a while to think of the name but I settled on this one quite randomly. There have been many layouts - quite a of them are located on my history page. Every time that I add a new layout, I always try to add a bunch of new content and take away any that seems out-dated. Q: How often is heresmary.com updated? A: I always try my best to keep heresmary.com up-to-date and filled with new goodies, and usually update about once a month. I always put up new updates on the home page. Q: What do you use to host your site? A: I used to use Geocities because it was free and simple. This was free hosting, and because it was free I had problems with removing the ads and a lack of storage space. I then changed to hosting via GoDaddy.com and purchased a domain name for cheap along with that hosting. Q: What programming languages do you use? A: I use HTML, CSS and Javascript. I am fluent with the first two, and I like to pick up the odd useful Javascript coding from around the internet, to be used in my webpages. Q: What programs do you use to make images? A: Mostly MS Paint and Adobe Photoshop Elements. Paint has a lot to offer, even as the most basic graphics program for Windows. Photoshop gives me extra tools to give my pages a more dynamic feel. Q: Can you help me with designing my site? A: I would love to! Q: Are you interested in putting any of my things on your site? A: Yep! I would love to put up your own contribution to heresmary.com, and would give you credit for it. Q: Can you recommend any image hosters for my avatar? A: I used to use Photobucket for hosting avatars and signatures. It's simple and I had no problems with it. |
