Well, I STILL don't know what's going to happen. I did not get the HTML Programmer job that I wanted so much at the time. I say "at the time" because right now I don't really want it anymore. The whole interview process was incredibly sloppy with bad communication throughout. Then one of the excuses that I did not get the job was quiet poor and I feel could have been avoided if there was better communication and professionalism on their part. I don't know how happy I would be just programming and not designing anyway. Right now, I'm waiting to hear from QA on a possible position there, so stay posted! I do hate being back in the call centre for now, but I did actually have one good thing happen. A customer sent me a box of chocolates! I was helping them with a networking problem and we didn't actually resolve it over the phone. I sent him an email with some more steps to try out, but he replied and said that he had actually figured it out himself by adapting some of the steps that we had tried earlier. He then phoned in later that day and told another rep that he was going to send me some chocolates and to wait for them to come. A couple of weeks later I got a really fancy box of chocolates in the post! There was no note or anything so I didn't know who it was from at the time, but then the same guy called back in later for help on a different issue and I happened to pick up his call. It's really nice to know that some people honestly do appreciate your hard work, even if the problem isn't fixed in the end by your help alone. We bought an XBOX 360 this weekend. I know that we only just got a PS3 a month ago but the XBOX 360 was less than half the price :P We really wanted to get it for it's exclusive games. I wish they were not exclusive because I'd rather play them on Wii or PS2/3 any way. Quite a lot of people have problems with the XBOX 360 malfunctioning, but I'm hoping as we won't even be using it as much as our other consoles that we will be OK. The first game I played on it was Blue Dragon which seems like an awesome cute RPG so far! I love the character design because it's done by the same guy that did the design for Dragon Quest VIII for the PS2. I fell in love with it straight away! Talking of Dragon Quest VIII, I got Dragon Quest IV recently and I am really enjoying it. I am up to Chapter 4 where you play as two twins, haven't got much into the chapter yet though. I can't wait to start playing as "The Hero" as you do in all Dragon Quest games eventually. |
